(ANSA) - ROME, NOV 30 - Now is not the time to lower our
guard against COVID-19, with the infection curve rising amid
reports of the first Omicron cases in Italy, President Sergio
Mattarella said Tuesday.
"The resurgence of infections reminds us not to lower our guard
and calls us to the utmost responsibility in our individual and
collective behaviour, to combat the circulation of the virus and
not compromise the freedom which we struggled to regain in our
economic and social lives," he said in a message to the
president of self-employed tradesmen and artisans' group
Confartigianato, Marco Granelli. (ANSA).
