(ANSA) - ROME, MAR 24 - "Italy reiterates its unmoveable position on the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms and expresses solidarity to the European parliamentarians, academics, think tanks and officials hit by Chinese sanctions" - that was the message that Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni gave on Wednesday to Chinese Ambassador Li Junhua, who was summoned to the foreign ministry in Rome.
