Halve pay Di Maio urges MPs (2)

(ANSA) - Rome, March 30 - Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on Monday called on Italian MPs to halve their pay to set a good example in the coronavirus emergency.
    Di Maio, until recently leader of the ruling anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S), said "in this war against the coronavirus everyone is making enormous sacrifices.
    And that must go for politics too: let Deputies and Senators halve their pay".
