'We're getting closer to EU' - Moavero

(ANSA) - Rome, December 18 - Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi said Tuesday that was hopeful talks between Rome and Brussels over Italy's budget for 2019 will produce an agreement.
    "Europe is dialoguing with us," Moavero Milanesi said on the fringes of an event for the international day against corruption at the foreign ministry in Rome.
    "There is optimism among those working on the ground that Italy can avoid an infringement procedure and deliver a budget that gives the country a helping hand".
