(ANSA) - Rome, October 23 - Italy's financial markets were
edgy in early trading on Tuesday as investors await the European
Commission's verdict on Italy's budget plan.
The spread between Italy's 10-year BTP bond and the German
Bund dropped back to 299 basis points after climbing to 310 at
the opening of trading only to then pop back over the 300-points
mark.
The spread closed at 304 points on Monday.
The Milan stock exchange's FTSE Mib index lost over 1% in
early business.
