(ANSA) - Genoa, October 15 - A prosecutor on Monday requested
that a court hand Transport and Infrastructure Deputy Minister
Edoardo Rixi a jail term of three years, four months in a trial
into alleged irregularities in expense claims by parties in the
Ligurian regional assembly between 2010 and 2012.
Rixi is a member of Deputy Premier and Interior Minister
Matteo Salvini's League party.
The prosecutor also requested convictions for 21 other former
and current councillors in the regional assembly.
