(ANSA) - Sassari, September 19 - Giovanni Nurra, the Northern
Sardinia coordinator for Deputy Premier and Interior Minister
Matteo Salvini's rightwing League party, said Wednesday that an
attempt had been made to take his life.
Nurra said he risked a car accident after someone loosened
the nuts on the rear wheels of his car some 10 days ago.
"They could have killed me and my family," Nurra told ANSA
after daily newspaper La Nuova Sardegna first published the
story.
Nurra said he was reporting the case to the DIGOS security
and anti-terrorism section of the police.
