Milan in running for EMA - Gentiloni (2)

(ANSA) - Rome, November 17 - Premier Paolo Gentiloni said Friday that Milan is in with a good chance of landing the European Medicines Agency, which is set to move from London due to Brexit. "We are in the running," Gentiloni said at the end of the EU summit in Gothenburg. "It's a competitive match, but Milan has the necessary credentials".
    The EU is set to vote on a new venue on Monday.
    Health Minister Beatrice Lorenzin also expressed optimism on Thursday.
    "I can't say much because I'm superstitious, but let's say that we are totally, fully in the game," Lorenzin said. "I have just seen a couple of fellow ministers from other countries. I can't say the name because we are in competition.
    "They have guaranteed further votes".
