(ANSA) - Rome, May 9 - The final toll of dead and missing
from two migrant shipwrecks off Libya at the weekend has risen
to 245, the UNHCR said Tuesday on the basis of survivors'
accounts. That pushes the toll for 2017 up to 1,300, while
migrants and asylum seekers who successfully crossed the
Mediterranean number more than 43,000. Italy bears the brunt of
migrants setting off from Libya.
