(ANSA) - Rome, March 24 - European Commission Vice-President
Valdis Dombrovskis called on Italy to keep working to improve
its public finances and fix its structural economic weaknesses
on Friday. "This year Italy will have growth of around 1%,"
Dombrovskis said after a bilateral meeting with Economy Minister
Pier Carlo Padoan in Rome. "It's a modest recovery. It is very
important to stay on track regarding fiscal policy and reforms".
