Wages up 0.6% in 2016, lowest since 1982

(ANSA) - Rome, January 27 - Hourly contract wages increased by 0.6% in 2016 with respect to the previous year, the lowest annual rise since the start of the statistical sequence in 1982, ISTAT said on Friday.
    The national statistics agency added that wages were flat in December compared to November and 0.4% up on the same month in 2015.
