(ANSA) - Rome, January 19 - Premier Paolo Gentiloni said
Thursday "an unprecedented pincers has been created" between
earthquakes and winter weather and "faced with this vise all the
institutions of the State have been mobilised, civilian and
military". He was speaking to civil protection staff at Rieti.
Three people are confirmed dead in Abruzzo and many more are
feared to have died in an avalanxhe that hit a mountain resort
hotel.
