(ANSA) - Bologna, December 9 - The Bologna prosecutor's
office began questioning suspects Friday in its probe over
irregularities in the collection of signatures to support an
electoral list for the populist, euroskeptic 5-Star Movement
(M5S) in regional elections in 2014.
The suspects allegedly cloned and faked citizen signatures.
Called in for questioning were deputy chair of the Bologna
city council Marco Piazza, who suspended himself after being put
under investigation, as well as a city employee and two other
people, all of whom are accused of violating election
regulations.
Piazza said he is certain that "everything will be resolved".
