(ANSA) - Rome, December 9 - Some 80% of the migrants
arriving across the Mediterranean to Italy are irregular,
European Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos said
Thursday, noting that 80% of migrants crossing the Segean to
Greece are refugees. Friday will see an informal meeting of EU
interior ministers ahead of a December 15 summit.
