Income of 'millennial generation' 15.1% below average

(ANSA) - Rome, December 2 - Young Italians will be poorer than their parents for the first time ever, research institute Censis said on Friday.
    The income of the so-called 'millennial generation' is 15.1% lower than the national average, according to the 50th edition of the annual Censis study on the social situation in Italy. Further, the family wealth of under 35s is 41.2% below the national average. The income of young people today is 26.5% lower than that of their counterparts 25 years ago.
    This compares to an 8.3% drop in income across the entire population over the same period, Censis said.
