Raggi 'war machine', Romans with us (2)

(ANSA) - Rome, October 26 - Anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) leader Beppe Grillo on Wednesday defended M5S Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi from criticism, saying she was a "war machine". Addressing the M5S Rome city councillors, he said "you are perfect, we are growing and the Romans are ever more supporting us". He added: "we have everyone against us, it's amazing. We are lions". Grillo came to Rome to support Raggi, who has had trouble getting her administration off the ground since becoming Rome's first woman mayor in a June landslide. She is currently embroiled in a row over large rubbish like fridges dotting Rome, having suggested it was a plot to make her look bad.
