(ANSA) - Rome, October 20 - The Organization for Economic
Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Thursday asked Italy to
speedily approve a reform of the statute of limitations
contained in a bill that has been before the Senate for weeks.
In a letter to Justice Minister Andrea Orlando and Senate
Speaker Pietro Grasso, the OECD said a prolonged delay in
ratifying the bill might compromise progress already made with
other reforms, such as the lengthening of the statute of
limitations for crimes of corruption.
