(ANSA) - Rome, September 30 - President Sergio Mattarella
said Friday that disabled people tackle the Paralympics every
day due to urban and architectural barriers.
"The disabled to the Paralympics every day due to the lack
of ramps and lifts," Mattarella said at the closure of a summer
camp for the disabled and elderly at the Castelporziano
presidential estate.
He said this issue was the responsibility of local
authorities, the central government and the public, who "create
problems from everyone when they park cars and motorbikes on
sidewalks".
