(ANSA) - Rome, September 29 - Britain will not have more rights than other countries following Brexit, Premier Matteo Renzi told the BBC Thursday.
"But I want the UK and the EU to stay 'best friends'," Renzi said.
No negotiations on leaving the EU should start before London triggers the article 50 procedure, Renzi stressed.
He said that the debate over the UK's hopes to get concessions on free movement of people while staying in the single market would be "interesting".
