EU not place to settle accounts

(ANSA) - Florence, September 29 - The EU is not a place where Italians should go to "settle accounts", as they have mistakenly done in the past, Premier Matteo Renzi said Thursday.
    "I don't go to the EU to raise polemics but to defend Italy," he added, stressing "I don't go there to wage a partisan battle".
