(ANSA) - New York, August 24 - United Nations
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday expressed his
condolences for the devastating earthquake that has hit central
Italy, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said. Ban "is in
contact with the Italian government to monitor the situation,"
the spokesperson said.
