(ANSA) - Rio de Janeiro, August 5 - The Olympics are a powerful response to terrorism, Premier Matteo Renzi said Friday. They are "a message against fear, violence, fanaticism and extremism," he said while meeting the Italian community in Rio de Janeiro. His remarks came after SITE terrorism monitoring website reported a jihadist Internet channel uploaded instructions on how to carry out terrorist attacks on the Olympics, which kick off with an opening ceremony today.
    "They killed our notion of daily life in restaurants, in museums, in football stadiums," Renzi said. "The Olympics are a chance to uphold the values of the international community, and which are the identity card of our peoples," he said.
