(ANSA) - Rome, July 28 - Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi on
Thursday said her party has blocked a planned 2016 Energy
Authority rate hike on water costs, thus preventing a 4.9%
increase for ACEA water utility customers.
On her Facebook page, Raggi wrote that the 5-Star Movement
(M5S) stopped the increase "by forwarding a proposal that also
satisfies private shareholders in ACEA, a company that must
remain healthy and can do so by directing its plans exclusively
in the interest of citizens".
