Rolling Stone devotes cover to Pannella

(ANSA) - Rome, May 30 - The radio station of the Radical Party on Monday focused on the special edition that Italy's Rolling Stone magazine is set to devote to Marco Pannella. Pannella, the longtime firebrand leader of the Radical Party who waged a thousand civil rights battles including landmark campaigns to legalise abortion and divorce, died on May 19 aged 86.
    The special, which came out on May 27, features a photo shoot taken on April 5 by Giovanni Gastel at Pannella's Rome apartment. The issue also included an interview with Italian rocker Vasco Rossi, who called Pannella "my political alter ego".
    The cover photo is a shot of Pannella in the midst of a cloud of smoke coming from its mouth.
    The caption reads "I'll screw you" ("Io vi fotto"), a quote from a preface he wrote to a book by Italian writer Andrea Valcarenghi.
