Fanaticism spawned in our cities - Renzi

(see related)(ANSA) - Matera, May 2 - Religious fanaticism was spawned in the hearts of Europe's cities, Premier Matteo Renzi said Monday in Matera. "We need culture and foreign policy," he said in the Basilicata city that is to be the 2019 European Capital of Culture. "Europe is in crisis, not because they're coming in to hurt us from abroad but because there is an identity crisis going on in our suburbs - fanaticism has grown in the hearts of our cities".
