(ANSA) - Naples, April 26 - Carabinieri police on Tuesday searched the homes and office of the head of Premier Matteo Renzi's centre-left Democratic Party (PD) in the southern Campania region. ANSA sources said the police searched Stefano Graziano's residences in Rome and in the town of Teverola, near Caserta on suspicion of collusion with the Camorra mafia. The politician, who is also a Campania regional councillor, is under investigation in relation to a probe that led to nine arrests on Tuesday, including that of restaurateur and businessman Alessandro Zagaria.
Investigators are scrutinizing Zagaria's alleged backing of Graziano's electoral campaign.
