(ANSA) - Rome, April 13 - ISIS's funding capacity has been
cut and fighters' pay has fallen by 40%, Foreign Minister Paolo
Gentiloni said Wednesday.
He said all of the militant group's main sources of cash -
bank deposits, trafficking in art works and crude-oil smuggling
- had been reduced.
Speaking in the Senate, Gentiloni added that between 30% and
40% of the territory conquered by ISIS had been reclaimed by the
international coalition.
He said there was a chance "in the coming months of
regaining control of nerve centres like Raqqa".
