EC to wait for Italy budget

(ANSA) - Brussels, April 11 - The European Commission said Monday it has "taken note" of the Italian government's 2016 financial and economic planning document (DEF), which was made public on Friday. The Commission said it will wait for Italy's budget and reform program due by April 15 before commenting. The 2016 DEF contains a measure that would delay balancing the budget in structural terms until 2019.
