(ANSA) - Turin, February 15 - Turin prosecutors on Monday
opened a probe into an insult launched by Northern League leader
Matteo Salvini against magistrates who indicted his No.2,
Liguria Councillor Edoardo Rixi, in an expenses case. Salvini
described the Italian judiciary as "disgusting". Prosecutors
want to establish if that constitutes the crime of contempt of
the magistrature, judicial sources said. Salvini made the remark
at a rally Sunday, saying that Rixi was innocent.
