(ANSA) - Brussels, November 30 - The European Commission has
allocated 100 million euros from the European Regional
Development Fund (ERDF) to small and medium businesses in
Italy's chronically impoverished South, sources said Monday.
The program is expected to generate new loans to small and
medium businesses worth 600 million euros.
The ERDF funding is aimed at improving competitiveness and
access to credit.
