PD says no verification with Marino

(see related)(ANSA) - Rome, October 9 - The center-left Democratic Party (PD) said Friday it is not interested in verifying the existence of a majority to support a renewed mandate for resigning Mayor Ignazio Marino, who said last night he will step down. By law, he has 20 days from when he officially hands in his resignation to withdraw or confirm it.
