(ANSA) - Rome, October 7 - An anti-sexist crackdown is
needed in parliament, House Speaker Laura Boldrini said
Wednesday. She said an amendment to House rules, stuck on a
panel for a year, envisages a 40-day suspension for MPs found
guilty of making "sexist insults". Earlier this week a
centre-right Senator, Lucio Barani, was banned for five days for
miming a blow job in the direction of a woman Senator from the
anti-establishment 5-Star Movement. Another Senator, Vincenzo
D'Anna, was banned for five days for repeating the gesture.
