(ANSA) - Rome, July 27 - Last month, 34,651 temporary or
fixed-term contracts were turned into permanent contracts, a
rise of 27.2% over June 2014, the labour ministry said Monday.
At the same time, however, almost 10,000 fewer permanent
contracts were opened than the number closed, the ministry said.
Last month, 145,620 permanent contracts were activated while
155,388 such contracts were closed - a fall of 9,768. In June
2014, 109,202 stable contracts were signed compared with 141,207
terminations, the ministry said.
