Unemployment among young, women down

(ANSA) - Rome, June 30 - The unemployment rates for young people and women fell in May, Istat said on Tuesday. The national statistics agency said 41.5% of under-25s not in education and actively on the labour market were unemployed, 0.1 of a percentage point down on April. This means 20,000 fewer young people are looking for work. It said that the unemployment rate for women was 12.7%, down 0.2 of a percentage point on April.
