(ANSA) - Rome, May 22 - Ex-premier Silvio Berlusconi said
Friday two former members of his Forza Italia (FI) party used it
"like a taxi".
Interior Minister Angelino Alfano in 2013 left Berlusconi's
now-defunct People of Freedom (PdL) party to found the small New
Center Right (NCD) party, which is now a junior member of the
ruling coalition.
Former Berlusconi confidant Raffaele Fitto last Tuesday
launched a new movement called Conservatives and Reformists
after formalising his split from FI at the weekend.
"Alfano, like other professional politicians, used FI like
a taxi," Berlusconi said, adding that his former proteges and
allies took advantage when he was "forced to resign as premier
in 2011".
