Bonino gets cancer all-clear

(ANSA) - Rome, May 21 - Former Radical Party leader Emma Bonino on Thursday said she had got the all-clear from lung cancer after months of treatment. 'All evidence of cancer has disappeared...it's the best (news) I could have expected," said the former European Commissioner. Former foreign minister Bonino, who was EU commissioner for health and consumer affairs from 1995 to 1999, garnered widespread support for her cancer fight.
