(ANSA) - Rome, May 5 - Lower House Speaker Laura Boldrini
on Tuesday expelled former defense minister and MP Ignazio La
Russa after he charged at her during debate.
Boldrini had denied La Russa's request for more speaking
time after his allotted time ran out, and finally turned his
mike off.
At this point La Russa, who is from the rightwing Brothers
of Italy (FdI) party, charged towards her seat.
The Speaker warned him twice to desist, and then had him
expelled.
