(ANSA) - Rome, April 28 - Italian President Sergio
Mattarella had a short, unscheduled meeting on Tuesday with
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon at the sidelines of
a Vatican conference on the environment. The discussion focused
on the Mediterranean migrant crisis. Ecuadorian President Rafael
Correa was also present along with several religious officials.
Ban left Rome on a flight for Paris soon after.
