(ANSA) - Rome, March 5 - Episodes of racial or ethnic
discrimination have risen 17.1% in the last year, the national
racism watchdog said Thursday.
The undersecretary for integration, Franca Biondelli, said
the government would use the upcoming anti-discrimination week
as a springboard for action including moves to make obtaining
Italian citizenship easier.
