Italy GDP will grow in 2015, Padoan says

End to years of recession predicted by Padoan

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - Rome, November 28 - Italy's economy will see "positive growth" in 2015 after years of recession, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan said Friday.
Italy has made significant progress in structural reforms of its economy, the minister added.
"I believe that next year is going to be a year of positive growth after three years of recession," he said, speaking on the fringes of a conference on service industries.
"Italy is seen as a country where (only) announcements are made," he said.
"I challenge that. There are not just announcements. There is great progress in parliament on structural reforms," Padoan said.
The Italian economy has been stagnant since 2008, enduring three recessions since then.
