(see related)(ANSA) - Brindisi, November 10 - Police have
identified the man who torched the mayor's car November 3,
investigators in the southern city of Brindisi said Monday.
Alessandro D'Errico, 39 and unemployed, confessed to torching a
car belonging to Mayor Mimmo Consales, who is from the
Democratic Party (PD) of Premier Matteo Renzi.
He said he did it in revenge because he was promised a job
and never got one.
Puglia governor Nichi Vendola condemned what he called
"criminal protagonism" and intimidation against public
officials.
