(ANSA) - Naples, October 24 - In an apparent dig at trade
unions, Economy Minister Pier Carlo Padoan on Friday took aim at
critics who accused Premier Matteo Renzi's government of being
without direction.
"The government has a financial, industrial, economic, and
political strategy. If there are those who can't see it, we will
try to do a better job of explaining it to them," said Padoan.
CGIL labor confederation leader Susanna Camusso has in the
past said that Renzi "finds it very difficult to translate his
initiatives into results" and that he "has no idea where to take
the country".
The CGIL is planning a major rally Saturday in response to
measures contained in Renzi's proposed Jobs Act, or labour
reform bill, as well as his government's 2015 budget, which
labor says won't do enough to create jobs.
