'I have no masters' says Renzi

'The time has come to make some people angry' says premier

(ANSA) - San Francisco, September 22 - Italy's premier has no masters, and this means Italy is changing, Premier Matteo Renzi said Monday.
"If the premier is free of godfathers and masters it's a sign Italy is tired of certain rituals and a certain way of doing politics," Renzi told 150 Italian-American entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley.
"We might fail, but as Silicon Valley teaches us, failure is how we learn to do better," the premier said.
"This an extraordinary chance to stop crying over spilled milk," Renzi went on. "I am aware that some things need to be changed violently, but if you don't pit the strength of your ideas and your brain you don't go anywhere," the premier said.
"Italy is a great country with some incredible weak spots," he added. "Our part is to keep going...at some point, you come to the place where you have to make somebody angry in order to please everybody," said the premier on the first leg of a US tour that will take him to the UN climate change conference on Tuesday.
