(ANSA) - Milan, September 3 - A three-day event focused on
organic farming got underway at Milan's Expo world fair on
Thursday, and will address themes such as healthy soils,
sustainable agriculture and farming innovation.
"Organic Week" kicked off with the "Soil is Life" event
looking at ways to maintain healthy and fertile soils.
"The protection of biodiversity and the promotion of
sustainable, innovative farming models that are able to respond
to future challenges are the two focus points,"said Duccio
Campagnoli, president of BolognaFiere, which has helped organise
the event.
It is being held at the Expo's Biodiversity Park, which has
been set up to provide a focus for discussion around organic
food and farming.
