(ANSA) - Milan, July 21 - An official sponsor and supplier
to the USA Pavilion at Expo, Eccellenze Campane, has kicked off
its presence there with a dinner featuring foods from the region
of Campania at the James Beard Restaurant, the American pop-up
eatery at Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.
On Monday evening, diners enjoyed a meal prepared by
Eccellenze Campana chefs Antonio Tubelli and Sal De Riso, with a
full line-up of traditional dishes from the region.
USA Pavilion Commissioner General Douglas T. Hickey said
the collaboration with the food organization from Campania
"couldn't be going better".
"It's become by now a personal friendship, destined to
last," Hickey said.
Eccellenze Campane President Paolo Scudieri said his
organization is trying to bring back tradition the best it can.
"We also believe in business, and we're convinced that
through our extraordinary culinary and food tradition, one can
rediscover values and at the same time distribute wealth, in the
name of good taste," Scudieri said.
