(ANSA) - Genoa, October 5 - Italian marine industry
association UCINA, which has for years produced the Genoa Boat
Show, on Monday announced that it has teamed with Expo Venice to
present the 2016 Venice Boat Show next April.
The Venice Boat Show will take place April 21-25, 2016,
while the 2016 Genoa Boat Show will be held in that city
September 20-25, immediately following the Cannes Boat Show and
preceding the Monaco Yacht Show.
UCINA President Carla Demaria said that of the two, Genoa
would remain "the only international showcase for the nautical
industry" while Venice would represent "a business opportunity
for our companies during a period of market recovery, looking in
particular at the markets in eastern Europe".
The Venice Boat Show will be spread out between an
exhibition space on "dry land" outside Venice, together with
events to take place in the heart of the lagoon city as well.
