Dogman fails to make Oscar shortlist

(ANSA) - Rome, December 18 - Matteo Garrone's Dogman has failed to make the shortlist of films still in the running for the 2019 best foreign language film Oscar. Italy's candidate was not among the nine movies from which the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will select its Oscar nominations.
    However, Italy is not totally out of the running for Oscar glory. Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria has been shortlisted for the 'makeup and hairstyling' and 'best original song' categories.
