(ANSA) - Florence, June 1 - Vandals cut off the head of a
putto representing one of the four allegories on top of a
sculptural group in Florence's Piazza Demidoff overnight.
The vandals must have climbed over fencing to do the damage,
sources said.
Florence Mayor Dario Nardella said "the city has been
defaced, and we will catch these criminals".
