(ANSA) - Rome, July 21 - The Italian cabinet on Friday
confirmed Palermo as Italian Capital of Culture 2018.
The proposal had been by Culture Minister Dario Franceschini.
This will result in extra funding for cultural promotion as
well as a likely increase in tourist visits to the Sicilian
city.
