Philip Glass to play his 20 Etudes, in Parma Nov 14

(ANSA) - Parma, September 23 - American composer Philip Glass is to play his celebrated 20 Piano Etudes in Italy for the first time in a concert at Parma's Regio Theater on November 14, sources said Thursday.
    The concert will close out the 10th Barezzi Music Festival, which is named after opera composer Giuseppe Verdi's patron Antonio Barezzi.
    The festival running November 3-14 in Parma and the surrounding province is dedicated to the relationship between opera, classical, and contemporary music.
    Glass is considered to be one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and has won numerous awards for his film scores. U.S. President Barack Obama awarded him the National Medal of Arts in 2015.
